Mijenta—inspired by “mi gente” or “my people”—is an artisanal, small batch tequila from the Highlands of Jalisco. They bring together a passionate community, the best possible materials, and a traditional process to celebrate the best of the land and its people. No other tequila looks like it or tastes like it. Inspired by a shared cultural heritage, Mijenta offers a unique, super premium spirit that is carefully crafted with a commitment to environmental sustainability and support for the local community.

Their Maestra Tequilera, Ana Maria Romero, is one of the most respected and awarded tequila authorities in Mexico. She chooses quality over speed, and perfected Mijenta’s distinctive flavor profile through a meticulous slow process and traditional methods. This ranges from the selection of the silky mature agaves from the best plots, to rich fermentation of slow cooked agaves, and delicate distillation in pot stills. Everything is carefully calibrated to create the signature aromatic palette of Mijenta, from precise cuts in heads and tails, to carefully controlled temperatures in the evaporation and condensation process. To give Mijenta a differentiated character, it is not filtered.

Mijenta Tequila Blanco is bright and transparent with a powerful body. It offers intense aromas of cooked agave, vanilla, and caramel enhanced by the slow cooking process, and floral and fruity notes of cantaloup and peaches. On the palate, it combines rich flavors of cooked agave, vanilla, fresh fruit, and spices such as cinnamon. It has an impossibly generous and round finish.
