This trio of essential knives will make the perfect foundation for your cutlery collection. You will have all the necessary tools to handle general food-prep tasks such as chopping meat as well as coring or peeling fruits and vegetables.

Equilibre knives are crafted in the workshops of 13th generation knife maker Tarrerias-Bonjean based in Thiers, the world-renowned cutlery manufacturing center of France.

Equilibre blades are fitted with a gorgeous double-sided flat grind, which is tapered consistently or in a flat manner from mid-blade to the edge. It produces a fine and crisp cutting edge which allows for extremely precise and delicate cuts.

These blades are made of X46Cr13 High Carbon Stainless Steel. This alloy was designed to be perfectly suited for everyday use by eliminating the common issues found in premium cutlery (rust, brittleness, difficulty in re-sharpening). It features 0.46% of Carbon for a durable, razor-sharp edge and 14% of Chromium to guarantee exceptional resistance to corrosion.

Each blade is hardened to the sweet spot of 56HRC. It’s hard enough to offer excellent resistance against edge wear and deformation, and soft enough to allow for easy re-sharpening. It’s the perfect balance between the two! It also preserves the blade’s flexibility and forgiveness for outstanding toughness against chipping.

The Equilibre collection is inspired by traditional Japanese blade styles and features an ergonomic handle made of micarta. This tough material offers extreme resistance to heat, impact, and detergents.
