Black Figured Attic Amphora
Product Description
Hellenic Art's pottery items are handcrafted in Greece in a small family workshop using natural, high-quality materials, superb craftsmanship, and extreme attention to detail. They are licensed and modeled after museum pieces from all over the world, and bear the lead seal of authenticity.
This is an exact museum reproduction of an ancient Greek Black Figured Attic Amphora. It's red-figured on one side and black-figured on the other, and featuring Ajax and Achilles playing some kind of board game during a break of the Trojan War. It's based on a famous work of art by the painters Andokides and Lysippides, from about 520 BCE. The real piece is currently on display at the Boston Museum.
