Ancient Egypt, 3rd Intermediate Period, 22nd Dynasty, c. 943 - 716 BC. Burial figure, servant to the deceased in the afterlife. An Egyptian glazed faience ushabti fragment, depicted mummiform, wearing tripartite wig with arms folded at chest, hands holding a pick and hoe, which along with the cosmetic details are depicted in black, as is the bag at center of back and traces of the column of hieroglyphic text down front of legs. L: 3.5”. Remnants of green glaze and losses to feet.
