Ancient Greece, c. 5th-4th century BC. Dating from the time of the Persian wars. An excellent bronze arrowhead. Bi-lobate (2-bladed) and barbed form, found at a battlefield in former Thrace-Macedonia near the Black Sea. ref: Petrie 135. Malloy, Weapons, Plate XIV #113 for type. L: 1.5” (4 cm), with dark green patina, light deposits. In archival magnetic frame (frame measures 4” x 4”). ex Berkeley, CA private collection. Accompanied by a hand-signed certificate of authenticity which includes all the details, culture, dating, motifs/inscriptions when applicable, historical relevance, and provenance.
